Yes. You can change your provider at any time if you feel another provider better meets your needs.

You don’t have to, but involving family or carers can help provide a clearer picture of your needs.

The government, through the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), covers the cost of approved supports in an NDIS plan for eligible participants. These supports are deemed "reasonable and necessary" to help participants achieve their goals and manage their disability.

It’s not required, but meeting providers beforehand can help you understand their services and decide what works best for you.

NDIS funding is allocated based on your plan. You can choose to manage your funds yourself, have your provider manage them, or use a plan manager.

Providers must follow NDIS pricing rules, so you won’t be charged more than the set rates for funded supports.

Supports include therapies, personal care, equipment, home modifications, and assistance with daily activities.

If you already have an NDIS plan before turning 65, you can continue. New applications after 65 are usually assessed through My Aged Care instead.

You can explore other supports through state or local programs, community services, or My Aged Care if applicable.
